(Sepak) Takraw

Hi guys! Welcome to my last blog :(

Today i'm going to tell you about Takraw, fully out Sepak Takraw.

Sepak Takraw is a traditional ball sport in South East Asia. Takraw is described as football-volleyball. In contrast to volleyball, you can't touch the ball with your hands with takraw, only with your head, shoulder, knee and foot. The net hangs about one and a half meters high. The players can score by getting the ball on the opponents' field, within the limits. Unlike volleyball, Takraw is played with only three players in a team.

The name comes from: "Sepak" is "kick" in Malay and "Takraw" means "braided ball" in Thai. Sepak Takraw is originated from the Chinese game Tsu-Chu, a ball game that served as an exercise for the Chinese soldiers. The modern Sepak Takraw began in Malaysia and is now the national sport there.

I would like to play this sport myself because I like football and I like volleyball. Although I think it's pretty difficult.

This was my last blog already, I hope you liked all of them! ;)

xoxo Nikki

Are you going to try this sport??
